POS Software Systems:
POS or PoS are abbreviations for point-of-sale. In Europe, this is known
as Electronics at the Point-of-sale, or EPOS. POS software facilitates
an efficient and automated recording of data, which encompass all
transactions that occur when a sale of goods or services to a customer
transpires.
POS software transmits data to a database creating a comprehensive and
useful resource, including merchandizing, forecasting, accounting, and
inventory-control. Some POS software packages fully integrated these
functions.
